It is popularly said that a house transforms into a home only when it is properly designed and decorated as we had actually dreamt off. Our home sweet home is a place where we all feel comfortable, relaxed, and independent. It gives us a sense of individuality. The fact that "it's my house" means a lot to every human being from all parts of the world. As mankind is making new inroads in every aspect of this materialistic world, home furnishing and decoration has also evolved through time. Decorative shelving has always been one of the important aspects for the purpose. Even kids locker is something that has caught the imagination of the common public. This is a type of decorative shelves, which is used to store belongings of the kids. As the name suggests they have their own security locks, which cannot be opened by anyone and everyone.
Wooden wall shelves: wall shelves available nowadays are mostly made up of MDF having an antique finish, they look fabulous with their trendy designs.
Floor - Floor units are most commonly wood, but plastic models are available for children. They either look similar to a vanity with a flat top, or they can be designed with cubbies or baskets. With cubbies, you can leave some open and place baskets in others. You can also find floor shelving units with hanging baskets already installed. Floor shelving is best for larger bathrooms with wall space, although corner units are good for small bathrooms.
Closet Storage - These units are typically made to be customized to each individual's closet size and preferences. Closet shelving is usually made of plastic, wire or wood.
When decorating your home, one of the most functional pieces of furniture you can add to a room is a book shelf... or multiple book shelves. The problem with book shelves, is that they are overlooked as a decorative element in the room and become a collection point for all books, magazines and files. The result is clutter and an unslightly mess of color and objects. But it doesn't have to be that way. In fact, book shelves that are properly decorated and organized can add interest and design to a room... and still be functional.
